Excessive Heat Warning

What do you do when your AC is broken, it's 110 outside and there's an extended excessive heat warning in effect?  Well if you're like us you head to the closest store (Walmart in this instance) and buy a pool. 

When it's this hot out my brain stops working and my body threatens to shut down.  I may be an AZ native but my ancestry says I wasn't built for these crazy summer temps.  I should probably be fishing near a fjord or going to yodel practice not slathering on spf and melting in the shade. 

The girls had a blast working with their dad to set up the pool and we splashed all afternoon. 

My daily grateful

• A pool that is the perfect size for the girls
• Ceiling fans and heavy curtains
• Dear friends that live close enough to spontaneously meet for breakfast
• Email to keep in touch with family around the globe
• A day full of fun and relaxation AND a clean house at the end of the day
• A yummy homemade dinner that I didn't cook
