Summer Camp

 Every Thursday the girls spend the day with my sister.  Elise calls it "Aunt Heidi Day".  Their Thursday playdates started back in September and I'm happy to say that they're continuing during school break. The summertime visits are extra special because the girls' cousins are home from Jr. High and High School.  Last week they got a super fancy pedicure, this week it was face paint.  It's like preschool, summer camp and a trip to the carnival all rolled into a weekly 5 hour visit.

I wish I could say the girls are happy to see me when I pick them up but most days I'm greeted with sad faces, angry shouts and a lot of pleading to stay "just a little bit longer!".  I suppose I could take it personally but it makes me happy to know they love spending time with my sister and her sweet family. 

I usually use the child free time for office hours. Today I snuck in a visit to the dentist and started packing for our upcoming camping trip.  I can't wait to get out of the heat! 

Tomorrow is the big day, we find out if Kate and Elise will have a little brother or a little sister.  We're taking the girls with us and we're all very excited.  Half of us say it's going to be a boy and the other half think it's a girl. Stay tuned!
