Thursdays have always been my favorite day of the week. I simply love the anticipation of the impending weekend and the endless possibilities for fun. Lately, I've begun to work on appreciating the moment rather than looking forward to what's around the corner.  Which opens up a whole new perspective on Fridays.  Afterall, the excitement of a Thursday really is "tomorrow".  Lucky for me today was that tomorrow! 

It was an early morning and a very busy day running children here and there, volunteering at school, cooking and all of the other usual mom duties.  What made it so special?  Well for starters the weather was absolutely perfect.  We've had such an amazing spring in Phoenix this year that I'm starting to wonder if I actually moved and just forgot.  Then we got to have lunch with the Mr. which is always a bright spot in our day.  Finally after the kids were fed and the table cleared I kissed my sweet girls goodnight, gave their dad a goodbye hug and walked out the door. 

Bedtime is really not so bad but any break, no matter how small, is a big deal.  The best part of all was meeting my sister for tea and treats.  We split a lovely cupcake and squeezed in 2 hours of fabulous child free chat time.
