Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 9:08AM To say that I've been waiting to meet this beautiful baby boy for 9 months would be an understatement. I think started anticipating his arrival sometime shortly after his mom and I graduated from college ... which is a lot longer than I'm willing to admit!
When we found out that he'd be arriving in February we timed a family weekend trip to San Diego so we could meet him. We had to wait an extra week to make sure everyone in our house was germ free. It was so worth the wait! He's a dead ringer for his dad and has the most intense focus I've ever seen from a newborn. Watching his parents work together to keep him content during our shoot confirmed what I've always known; they're going to be awesome parents. I'm betting Mateo will be a Rock Band champion, speak Spanish and know every animal in the San Diego Zoo by the time he's 4.
