Phoenix Family Photographer | Rescheduled

Rescheduled.  One of my least favorite words in Webster's.  Rescheduled, blegh.  Unfortunately, as much as I dislike that word, it does a good job of summarizing the past two weeks.  You may remember me mentioning that the girls were coming down with a cold.  I thought we'd lay low for the weekend and ride out a few stuffy noses.  Ha! 

So much for that idea.  All four of us were tackled by this nasty bug.  Elise and I have been hit the worst.  Sinus infections that won't go away, an allergic reaction to medication and an ear infection have left the two of us a bit wrung out.  Add in a fried PC monitor and I've been out of comission for over a week.

I've never had to reschedule a newborn shoot before and this week I had to reschedule two.  Few things bring me greater joy than working with brand new people.  I've been looking forward to meeting Mateo and Phoebe for many months. While we were well enough manage daily life there was no way I could risk exposing a newborn to the crumby cold germs circulating in my home.  So it was with a heavy heart that I had to cancel my plans. 

Of course it's only a short delay. In the meantime, we're laying low and keeping our germs to ourselves as much as possible.

The girls had a nice visit with their Oma who was kind enough to share her sewing skills.  Kate was trying to comfort Elise after a recent trip to the doctor where we discovered she was allergic to amoxicillin.  Apparently, snuggling under the kitchen table was all she needed to improve her mood.
