Friday.  Glorious Friday.  Even better today was the last day of preschool for Elise which means the girls are both officially on winter break.  Two whole weeks of "drive all over creation to get to school and back" free time.  Whoo hoo!

I was helping the girls with their Advent calendar today when I realized, there's only 8 days until Christmas.  When did that happen?  This Christmas season seems to be slipping away faster than I anticipated.  New babies have a tendency to put life on warp speed.  So starting tomorrow I plan to pack as much "holly jolly" into the last 7 days as is humanly possible.  Not a frenzied run around and shop 'till you drop kind of holly jolly... I'm envisioning cozy mornings sleeping in and snuggling in bed, baking cookies and strolling through the neighborhood to look at Christmas lights.  Of course, I'll be satisfied if I manage just one of the items on my list. Preferably the sleeping in part.

I wonder how everyone else will be spending their last week before Christmas.  However you spend it, I hope it's merry!

Taken a few weeks ago...Kate was so excited about her little red coat that she asked me to take her picture.  Photo ops with Kate are very rare so I cherish each time she willingly participates. I had completely forgotten about this series because it was buried in a folder of Hudson's newborn photos.

The past few months have been challenging for Kate as she's had persistent stomach issues.  Today seemed to be the worst so far but we're making progress in determining what's wrong.  We're trying a new approach and I'm hopeful that she'll get some much needed relief.
